1942 Tp\Ark

The pouch in this example is dated 1943 and represents an example made of cloth. Above the date, the manufactures assigned code: gdv is visible which indicates it was manufactured by Ferdinand Haase, Buntweberei.

The Gasplane is dated December 1942 and is made from Oppanol which is noticeably heavier and bulkier than either the standard or Lyfol Gasplane. The Tp\Ark markings indicate this is Gasplane is suitable for tropical and arctic environments. Of interest is the coloured square the purpose of which showed where the cape should be held when being deployed. It was manufactured in December 1942 by Textilausrüstungs Gesellschaft Schroers & Co. who were assigned the code luw.
