There is a great deal of variety when it comes to the markings found on the Gasplane pouch.

Generally early war examples will have very detailed markings showing the name and location of the maker, the date of manufacture and inspection stamps. Mid war examples usually have an opaque combination of a batch number, the code used by the manufacturer and sometimes a year of production. Finally there are many examples with no markings at all.
